Last month, Malaysia's Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) introduced several new compliance tools on their Strategic Trade Act (2010) website page. MITI introduced the "Strategic Trade Items (STI) Finder," a control list search tool that enables traders to search for their item on the Malaysian national control list. Users may seek to classify commodities using a keyword or item category (e.g. nuclear, chemicals, etc.) search and comparing to the technical specifications set forth on the control list.
