On August 9, Japan's MInistry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI) updated the Foreign End-User List. Japan maintains the list for the purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of catch-all controls in Japan. The Foreign End User List provides exporters with reference information on foreign entities of concern. The list is not an embargo list. If an entity is found on the List, exporters must apply for an export license, except in cases where it is evident that the items will not be used for WMD-related activities.
The updated list is available at: www.meti.go.jp/english/press/2017/0809_001.html or http://www.meti.go.jp/policy/anpo/hp/170809-3.pdf
