India Revises Sanctions Against the DPRK

Last month, India's DGFT revised the Foreign Trade Policy, Paragraph 2.17 to account for new sanctions against North Korea. Specifically, Notification No. 35 of 18 October 2017 served to implement UNSC Resolutions 2356, 2371, and 2375 of 2017. The revised import and export prohibitions now extends to crude oil, refined petroleum products, fuel, condensates and natural gas liquids, precious metals, coal, lead, and iron ore, certain textiles, seafood, and luxury goods.
